General Hospital for Friday, May 23: Blow up
First, General Hospital spoilers reveal the nurses’ Ball performances conclude and lives are forever altered. They aren’t kidding! Poor Gio is clearly devastated after overhearing Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins). And this is going to cause a chain reaction that goes beyond the shock Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton feel.
One of the first things we’ll see is Sonny Corinthos’ reaction. In the promo, Sonny is seen telling Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero) and Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) that Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) has to know something. He’s sure of it.
Clearly, her relationship with Brook Lynn will be forever altered by this revelation. But we believe Sonny’s friendship with Lois will also be a casualty. And we wonder how Dante and Brook Lynn will feel if they learn that Gio got this news by overhearing Lulu yell at Lois. It’s the worst way Gio could’ve gotten the news, and that’s on Lulu for not letting this go. Or at least picking a better place/time to confront Lois.

Elsewhere, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) gets a mysterious phone call. We assume this is from the new Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson). He asks the person what he needs him to do. We wonder if Michael is heading back because he learned Willow came to see him and was turned away. At least, we hope Jason would’ve reached out. He definitely looked surprised and unsure when he learned what supposedly happened from Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson). We’d love to see Michael blow that secret out of the water in front of everyone. Of course, this could also be Sonny’s doing. He could have called after the failed attempt to compromise with Willow.
General Hospital for Friday, May 23: tired
As for Willow, she just wants to end the fight over the kids. We understand that, but also think she should’ve thought about that before she handled everything wrong because she had to listen to Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison).
General Hospital for Friday, May 23: More drama?
Finally, Lucy is likely losing her mind. She already had to have a last-minute substitution when Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) got arrested. And then Gio lost it during his second performance. Now, she’s got more backstage drama to deal with. In the promo, she demands to know why Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) aren’t in their costumes. They better hope they actually make it on to the stage! We do think there’s a good chance of that. After all, Ali posted about recording a song o her social media that led to people talking about the ball returning.
