Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson‘s life hasn’t always been fame and glamour. The wrestler turned actor’s show ‘Young Rock’ shows his young life, where he came from and how he made it through day to day. Today, he shared a photo from his younger life in 1987, noting that his family looked “miserable”.
He explains that they were forced out of Hawaii, forced out of Tennessee, then finally in ended up in Pennsylvania. Take a look at his post below where he explains the pressure that his parents faced while also dealing with him and his problems.
“Then 3 months later, we were forced to leave Tennessee.
Complicated story.
We wound up settling in, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania where this pic was taken.And I was just suspended from my new school (Freedom High) for fighting.
And arrested for theft.My old man had a lot of pressure on him just to pay the rent.
As did my mom.
You can see it in their faces.Luckily I eventually got my shit together and found a few buddies who I started going to the gym with, who eventually became my best friends.

It’s no wonder that Johnson seems so down to Earth and nice now… he’s gone through it, much as many of us are. Making ends meet, not having money for gas (especially now), and having to work at a young age to help his parents.
In the same post, he shares a photo of the actors and actress who portray his family on the show and thanks them for giving us smiles.
