We love a good doctor show and Discovery+ is bringing one more our way! The new series, Dr. Mercy will take us into the life of Dr. Mercy Odueyungbo. She is based in Chicago and is a dermatologist who sees a lot of patients each day. If you are a fan of Dr. Pimple Popper, then this is a show for you! It may be just as gross! We will get to know this very loving doctor and we have some info about her for you!
Dr. Mercy’s Loving Manner
We are excited to see Dr. Mercy on her new show and have a lot of details about it. She gets to take on some crazy cases and some of the most interesting ones as well. One of her new patients has a very, bizarre problem with her skin. She has giant cysts all over her body and lymphomas too. She also has a patient who has a full-grown beard and she’s a woman!
There is another patient that has some extreme birthmarks as well. This woman just wants to have a normal face and finds it very difficult to look at people in the eye because she knows that they are all looking at her. Dr. Mercy is here to help all of them to get through these hard times in their lives.
We will see just how dedicated Dr. Mercy is to each and every one of her patients. She is very passionate about her trade and she wants all of them to feel that they are beautiful inside and out no matter what is going on with their skin.
Viewers will also get a chance to learn more about specific skin conditions too. Get ready to flex those brain muscles as more and more patients show up for Dr. Mercy. We will learn more about a rhinophyma and what it is. This is when a person’s nose actually grows to about three times its regular size. Dr. Mercy will have a patient with this condition and it’s a very strange case. You name it, Dr. Mercy has seen it all.
Dr. Mercy is board-certified and a Mohs surgeon. She was basically born into the medical field. She grew up in Nigeria and her parents both were nurses. She moved to Chicago with them when she was ten years old. She went to the University of Iowa for microbiology and then attended Indiana University School of Medicine. She then did her post-graduate classes at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
We are very excited about Dr. Mercy joining the network.
