After Elon Musk purchased Twitter, many assumed that Donald Trump would return to the platform, however, it looks like he has other plans actually. Instead, he will be using his own TRUTH Social as his sole platform. Democrats and some republicans can breathe easy.

On Monday, Twitter agreed to Musk’s $44 billion offer and many thought that was would be a day of reckoning as all of the people who were banned from the platform previously would be released. However, even if they are, it seems they are moving away from the platform.

Trump spoke to Fox News about saying he hopes that Elon will make improvements but he’s going to remain on TRUTH.

“I am not going on Twitter, I am going to stay on TRUTH. I hope Elon buys Twitter because he’ll make improvements to it and he is a good man, but I am going to be staying on TRUTH.”

TRUTH Social formally launched last month by Trump Media and Technology Group and has been running under its brand-new cloud services for four days. Trump says that they are already getting millions of users.

“We’re taking in millions of people, and what we’re finding is that the response on TRUTH is much better than being on Twitter. Twitter has bots and fake accounts, and we are doing everything we can.”

While at the moment he seems like he won’t return, I would bet in the future Trump will return to Twitter in some capacity, especially if Elon does what he promises and allows EVERYONE to be there. He has even said that he hopes his worst critics are on Twitter, as that what free speech stands for.

“I hope that even my worst critics remain on Twitter, because that is what free speech means”

I think Elon has good intentions and under his direction, Twitter will see a bit of a ‘revival’. Not that it was ever dead so-to-speak, but that there will be more conversations happening and open dialogue.
