Disgraced Comedian Bill Cosby Shows Glowing Support For R. Kelly Following Racketeering & Sex Trafficking Conviction, Says R&B Singer Was Railroaded!

Disgraced comedian Bill Cosby has some very strong opinions about R. Kelly’s conviction for sex-trafficking…and he’s not afraid to let the world know them.

It should be no surprise that Bill Cosby is continuing to put himself in the (shady) limelight, considering he was trying to pull the “I’m too frail for prison” card only weeks before his release and an almost immediately concocted plan for a cross country comedy tour. While the tour was ultimately scrapped due to further sex assault charges pressed against him, Cosby is ensuring he is not forgotten by speaking out and saying he believes R. Kelly’s conviction of racketeering and sex trafficking is no more than the R&B singer being “railroaded.”

Bill Cosby Has Thoughts About Robert Sylvester Kelly’s Conviction…and Yes, He’s Team Kelly.

“The deck was stacked against Robert,” said Cosby’s spokesman, Andrew Wyatt to the New York Post who also told of how the comedian believed the singer would not possibly “catch a break” throughout the month long trial.

Cosby, whom dozens of women have accused of sexual misconduct, escaped his own sexual assault conviction on a technicality earlier this year, and believes R. Kelly may be able to do the same

“His constitutional rights were grossly abused. I don’t know anywhere but in this country in the United States that a documentary can bring criminal charges against someone,” Cosby stated via Wyatt.

The documentary referred to was Lifetime’s eye-opening Surviving R. Kelly which aired two years before the singer would be taken to trial in New York.

“He also didn’t have the resources and means,” Wyatt continued to paraphrase Cosby’s thoughts…because we all know what a hard knock life Kelly suffered prior to being imprisoned.

Cosby seems to have quite the personal attachment to Kelly’s case, and seems especially salty about women’s rights attorney, Gloria Allred’s (who represented 33 of Cosby’s accusers in his case) involvement in Kelly’s case, representing several of his accusers. Speaking of an “Allred tactic” used against the comedian, Wyatt said on behalf of Cosby, “You parade women out, and you stir up the public sentiment to go against him. And that’s what they did to R. Kelly.”

Though Kelly is facing serious (up to life) jail time, Cosby predicts an appeals court will overturn the conviction, similar to how Cosby is now a free, and opinionated man.
