It looks like the truth has finally come out. Or at least one version of the truth. There’s a new report that suggests it was Prince Charles who had questioned the skin color of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s baby before the Duchess was even pregnant back in 2019. Here’s what you need to know.
According to the new book by Christopher Anderson, “Brothers and Wives: Inside the Private Lives of William, Kate, Harry and Meghan,” he says that the conversation about Harry and Meghan’s future children and their skin color occurred on the same day that they got engaged in 2017. Apparently, Prince Charles sat down for breakfast and mused to his wife, Camilla Parker Bowles, “I wonder what the children will look like?”

Camilla was “somewhat taken aback” by the question and replied, “Well, absolutely gorgeous, I’m certain.” Lowering his voice, Charles asked: “I mean, what do you think their children’s complexion might be?”
During their interview with Oprah Winfrey back in March, the couple suggested that a senior member of the royal family was so racist that he or she was concerned about the color of Archie’s skin.
If that weren’t enough, Meghan told the world that life at Buckingham Palace was so miserable that she contemplated suicide while Harry admitted that his father had cut him off – both emotionally and financially.
Buckingham Palace issued an official statement after the Oprah interview. In it, the palace said, “The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan. The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. Whilst some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately. Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members.”
