Just minutes after Amber Heard walked out of the courtroom she was already on social media sharing her statement. The comments have been limited because we assume she knows the backlash she would receive online, as she mentioned during the trial.
In her statement, Heard says, “The disappointment I feel today is beyond words. I’m heartbroken that the mountain of evidence still was not enough to stand up to the disproportionate power, influence, and sway of my ex-husband.”
She continues to say that she’s worried about other women who speak out against such things, “I’m even more disappointed with what this verdict means for other women. It is a setback. It sets back the clock to a time when a woman who spoke up and spoke out could be publicly shamed and humiliated.”

Heard then tries to claim that what she did fell under the second amendment, but that’s exactly why there are rulings for defamation. You can’t openly lie about something in public and have it ruin someone’s livelihood. She wrote, “I believe Johnny’s attorneys succeeded in getting the jury to overlook the key issue of Freedom of Speech and ignore evidence that was so conclusive that we won in the UK.”
Her entire statement is a pity party about her not getting away with lying. It’s like listening to a child who stole the cookie from the cookie jar and when they get in trouble, are mad that they got caught and not upset about what they did. In both cases, neither believe they did anything wrong. That is the key issue though, isn’t it? Understanding the difference between right and wrong?
Interestingly enough the comments on her post have been “limited” on Instagram, so people cannot comment. She only wants to hear what she has to say apparently.
