What made this episode interesting was, it started off with Emilio (Adriano Zendejas), whose girlfriend had a hard time shaking him. Alicia (Ana Cristina) decided to keep her pregnancy a secret, then abort the kid because she didn’t want a permanent tie to him, nor was she ready to be a mom. He pushed, even planning to leave his job for her when she wanted to take an opportunity in Germany. But things took a very dark (and creepy) turn.

His mother, Helena (Laura Flores), is an important businesswoman who wants her son to just accept his relationship is over and focus on what’s important. Namely, his career. However, she makes a big mistake when she casually tells him girlfriend is pregnant and aborting the kid. This just sends him after her, leading to a big confrontation. She later goes missing, and she’s not the only one.
We learn by the end of the episode, Mother is actually behind all these incidents. She’s on a crusade. First, she dealt with her abusive husband, then she started dealing with others that needed cleansing. The lead up and reveal was well done, keeping us waiting to see how this all played out. So, who lost?

Obviously, the biggest losers in this episode are the dead. In particular, Alicia. But Helen’s choice to tell her son made Alicia a necessary casualty. Helena also loses. She goes to jail for her crimes because she chose to keep evidence of them. She also made a mistake when she admitted all this to her son and believed him when he said they could team up.

Well… we say this with a caveat. Technically, he lost a lot. He stood accused of the crimes. Decisiones: Unos Ganan, Otros Pierden spoilers reveal he touched these souvenirs, which helped build a case. He also lost when his girlfriend and child were killed, thanks to his attempt to let them escape. He also has to be traumatized by the knowledge of who his mom really is. However, he did win in one respect. He pointed the investigators in the right direction, ultimately busting his mother and freeing himself.
