‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers suggest that Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) and Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) may soon team up and plan the ultimate revenge on Dimitri Von Leuschner (Peter Porte).
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: We Have Hope Calderon’s Javi Returns Until May
Gwen brought Dimitri back to Salem to ruin Leo and Javi Hernandez’s (Al Calderon) wedding. She certainly accomplished her mission.
Javi left town and told Leo he may not return. However, we know he’s coming back. It was originally reported that Calderon’s run as Javi would end in May.
Yet January is very, very far from May, which leads us to believe that Calderon will return as Javi at least until the recast arrives.
Taking into account that DOOL films ridiculously far in advance, it’s safe to say the new Javi has already started.
Yet that doesn’t solve the mystery of the time overlap between Calderon’s final episode and the first airdate of the recast Javi.
That said, it gives us at least some hope that Calderon may reunite Javi with Leo before he’s officially done with DOOL.
Of course, most fans know by now that Calderon will play on Season Two of Brilliant Minds, which is why he left DOOL.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Gwen and Dimitri Are Only Married for the Money
The rumor mill is buzzing that the role has been recast with soap newcomer Jacob Martinez. He’s already earned high praise from Cherie Jimenez, who plays Gabi Hernandez.
Jimenez, who is a recast herself, knows how tough soap fans can be on recasts. However, she’s assured fans that they will love the new Javi.
Now that we’ve explained that, let’s talk about the potential for Leo and Gwen to team up for sweet revenge on Dimitri.
Gwen and Dimitri despise each other, yet they are still married. Dimitri married Gwen solely to collect his considerable inheritance, but Gwen had initially married Dimitri for love.
Now, both of them are only staying married because of the money that’s in it for them. Gwen would love nothing more than to stick it to Dimitri for cheating on her with Leo.
Now that it appears that Leo has lost Javi, possibly for good, he may feel like he has nothing left to lose. We could see Leo and Gwen deciding to put their differences aside to bury Dimitri.
Plus, it was kind of sweet when Gwen admitted to Dimitri that the most heartbreaking aspect of his cheating on her was that she lost the best friend she’s ever had.
Watching that scene last week, where Gwen steals Dimitri’s fries and pours his beer over him at the Brady Pub, was a hilarious scene and reminded us why Gwen is such a fun character.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Leo Could Pretend to Have Chosen Dimitri
Gwen and Leo need to realize that their friendship is worth saving. They could find a way to hit Dimitri where it hurts.
Maybe it will be an elaborate plot to make Dimitri think Leo still loves him and choose him over Javi. In the meantime, Gwen may help Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) prove that Dimitri was behind the DiMera kidnappings.
When Dimitri tried to rat out Gwen for the Alemania kidnapping, Rafe couldn’t care less. He was far more interested in the DiMera crypt kidnappings and the hidden camera feed that was discovered.
While Leo is distracting Dimitri by pretending to want to get back together, Gwen could help Rafe investigate. Gwen wants to nail Dimitri to the wall, and if she involves her old pal, “Matty,” they stand a better chance of that happening.
Regardless, we hope to see Leo and Gwen bury the hatchet and eventually get their friendship back on track.
We also want to see Leo and Javi reunite and have their happily-ever-after. After everything Leo has been through, he deserves to be with the love of his life, and that is definitely not Dimitri.
