‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers suggest that now that Johnny DiMera’s (Carson Boatman) trial is officially over and Johnny’s been found not guilty, Johnny and Chanel Dupree DiMera (Raven Bowens) can at long last concentrate on each other.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Johnny And Chanel’s Romance Was Put On The Back Burner
Johnny and Chanel’s romance has been put on the back burner since Johnny was arrested, and the whole mess regarding Johnny finding out that his father, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), raped his mother, Sami Brady (Alison Sweeny).
Johnny made the unfortunate discovery that he was conceived from an act of violence, and his family kept it from him all his life.
Johnny ended up holding his father at gunpoint, but he couldn’t bring himself to pull the trigger. He gave the gun to his father and left the DiMera mansion. He was arrested for attempted murder.
Thankfully, he’s off the hook now. Prior to the trial, Chanel and Johnny were planning to start a family and adopt Tate Black (Leo Howard) and Sophia Choi’s (Rachel Boyd) baby.
The couple had worked very hard to gain Sophia’s mother, Amy Choi’s (Shi Ne Nielson), approval. EJ’s reputation was a massive deal for her.
It took some convincing, but they finally received the green light to adopt Sophia’s baby. However, when Johnny uncovered the truth about his father, he backed out of the adoption.
Johnny harbored intense fears that he would become just like his father, and he couldn’t go through with it. It was a very complicated and terrible ordeal.
Tate, Sophia, Johnny, and Chanel were all crushed. There was nothing Chanel could do to convince her husband that he was worthy of having a child and that he would make a wonderful father.
‘Days Of Our Lives Spoilers’: Johnny And Chanel Are Eager To Start A New Chapter
Chanel and Johnny even briefly split up, but they found their way back to each other. Johnny convinced Chanel to accept his stance on adoption for the time being.
Now that everything is settled, it appears that Johnny and Chanel have a chance to build the family they once dreamed of. We predict that the pair may decide to adopt Tesoro.
Everyone thinks that Sophia and Tate’s baby has already been adopted. However, Tesoro is living in Salem. Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) and Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon) are caring for him.
Leo and Javi are only short-term foster parents. Sophia’s time to reconsider reclaiming her child is up. She can’t take him back now.
This development means that the baby will soon be up for adoption. We suspect that Johnny will soon change his mind and want to circle back to the idea of starting a family with Chanel.
Johnny and Chanel are eager to move forward, and we can see this twist in the works. Chanel and Johnny are over EJ and his deception. Johnny won’t likely deny his desire to be a father much longer.
We could also see Sophia’s big baby lie coming out, and Tate being the one to assist Johnny and Chanel with the adoption. Secrets don’t last long in Salem. The couple may soon start a new chapter in their lives. After all, Johnny and Chanel deserve to get their happy ending.
