‘Day Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Gabi Will Explore Who She Is Without Stefan
Gabi is still hurt over her divorce from Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash), and she will likely tread carefully with the ex-cop, as she considers Stefan the love of her life. Several changes will occur in Gabi’s life, and she’ll have the chance to explore who she is without Stefan.
Stefan and Gabi caused each other significant pain, and Gabi may feel like she should give JJ a chance. Gabi was shocked to see JJ when he swooped in to rescue her from EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). The two of them took the time to catch up.
The former couple has a bit of a tumultuous history. JJ cheated on Gabi with Lani Price (Sal Stowers), and Gabi tried to tamper with Julie Olson Williams‘s (Susan Seaforth Hayes) pacemaker, which could have killed her.
However, when JJ accidentally shot Theo Carver (Kyler Pettis), paralyzing him, JJ attempted suicide. Fortunately, he was stopped by Gabi.
Gabi and JJ share a bond because of the night she saved him. There is an ease between them that feels natural, and they feel comfortable with one another.
Look for JJ to confide in Gabi about Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Cat Greene’s (AnnaLynn McCord) dangerous scheme to turn the tables on Clyde Weston (James Read) and find Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) remains.
In fact, Gabi may be interested in being part of the plan. She told JJ that if there was anything he needed, she’d be willing to help.

Gabi will also focus more on her company, Gabi Chic, and lean on her family for support. It was an inspired idea for the soap to put Gabi, her brother, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering), and their cousin, Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon), together in the same house.
Soap Opera Digest recently interviewed Cherie Jimenez, and the actress revealed that there will be “more opportunities for Gabi to smile.”
“New relationships and new people in her life are going to bring out different parts of Gabi,”
She hinted. She will become more career-driven and focus more time and effort on her ambitions.
Jimenez also admitted that since coming onto the soap as Gabi, there hasn’t been much joy in the character’s life.
“Everything that’s happened since I’ve been on the canvas as Gabi, there hasn’t been much to be happy about necessarily,”
She explained.
“She’s had little moments here and there, but there’s been a lot of misery, backstabbing, betrayal, sadness, tears, and goodbyes. With the family dynamic and with Javi coming in, I’m smiling more. I’m laughing more. There’s lots of great banter. So it just allows for more personality to come through,”
She shared.
Cherie is optimistic about Gabi’s future, and with the new head writers, Paula Cwikly and Jeanne Marie Ford, taking over, the actress is thrilled about what’s to come.
“They’ve taken things in a really beautiful direction, and I’m just excited for it all.”
