The actor is using his star power to champion a good cause. He created a video on Instagram for International Cat Day urging fans to support Kitt Crusaders, a Los Angeles-based kitten and cat rescue organization.
His birthday happens to be today, and he’s employing his star power to highlight the importance of animal rescue.
While E.J. likes to wield his power as DA to railroad people and try to lock up the people he despises, the actor couldn’t be kinder.
He posted a black-and-white photo of himself with an adorable black-and-white photo of himself holding a tiny kitten as another sweet kitty climbs on his shoulders, the cat’s tail curling around his face.
He encourages his fans with the following message,
“Birthday Bliss with Kittens! I’m beyond grateful for all the birthday love and all the support you’ve shown me this past year. Each of you holds a special place in my heart.”
He added,

The Australian-born actor thanked the photographer for taking these precious pictures. He also wants to clarify that fans can’t just print out a picture and ask him to sign it. The pictures are made explicitly for charity only.
On the site, it is stated that the charity networks and rescues cats and kittens from high-kill L.A. shelters and the streets to prevent their killing or putting down. The no-kill rescue matches the cats with fosters and adopters, giving these cute little creatures a chance to have a happy life.
