‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers find that it has been teased for months and now, we’ve finally reached the point of Charlie Dale (Mike Manning) being greeted by a mystery gunman (or woman) at his front door.
Charlie’s about to meet his maker and the question on everyone’s lips will be: Whodunnit?
We have plenty of suspects, so let’s put on our Commissioner Hernandez hats and go over the motives of each main player.
Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold). Allie would be a top suspect as she was the one Charlie raped and impregnated. Her motive would be a pretty good one and she just finished telling Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) she plans to shoot her assailant in the ‘nads.

John Black (Drake Hogestyn). John was VERY upset at Charlie messing with his loved ones and if anyone has access to firearms, it’s an ISA agent
Belle Black (Martha Madison). Speaking of being upset, Belle managed to bust in in the nick of time to save her daughter, Claire from Charlie’s evil clutches after Claire tried to procure a confession from him. And Belle is piiiiiised.
Claire. After her foiled sting, Claire lamented to her cousin, Allie about how wrong she was about thinking Charlie was a man she could love. Not only does Claire now hate her ex-boyfriend, she is super protective of her cousin and may do the shooting for her.
Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun). Ava has had enough of her black sheep son, especially after he threatened herself and her golden son, Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams). Ava is not only willing to commit a little filicide, she has a catalogue of mob henchmen ready and able to do her killing for her.
Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker). Nicole has been caught in the middle of all of Charlie’s misdeeds. She is Allie and son Henry’s guardian as well as a good friend of Ava whom Charlie has threatened more than once. It wouldn’t be the first time Nicole has murdered.
Tripp. After Charlie confronted Tripp in The Square and told him he’ll never be a part of Henry’s life, Tripp realized that Charlie will be able to manipulate his way into almost anything. After all, Charlie managed to let Tripp take the blame for his crimes for a long time.
Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols). Steve is one protective papa. He is mad as hell that Charlie let Tripp take the fall for Allie’s rape, especially as Charlie faces zero consequences and won’t admit he is the culprit.
Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo). Allie dad is another Papa bear. He didn’t hesitate to threaten Tripp’s life when it was thought Tripp was his daughter’s rapist, why would he slow down now he knows who the real bad guy is?
Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney). Sami- the original bad girl, hot mess and mother you wouldn’t want to cross. Sure, she’s not even in Salem yet, but we all know that’s about to change. Sami always reenters Salem with a bang- will this one be a bang from a handgun?
