‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers are beyond ecstatic that Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) is going to have his own portrait hanging over the fire place at the Kiriakis mansion.
This is an awesome homage to one of the greatest characters and actor in soap opera history, and he’s in illustrious company with Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) as he holds the same place on honor in the DiMera mansion.
In an even cooler twist, his picture is already being talked to, though not with the same reverence as Stefano. At least, not yet.
Konstantin Meleounis (John Kapelos) has been nothing short of the sweetest and kindest old friend of Victor to Maggie Horton (Suzanne Rogers), and the painting of Victor was supposed to be a gift that would allow everyone to enjoy his presence.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Dastardly plan
It’s a smart plan as he’ll continue to ingratiate himself to Maggie, but his real reason fits in perfectly with the psychological torture the show’s villains love to use.
While Konstantin let his true colors show to Maggie’s granddaughter, he saved his best monologue until now for the painting as he laid it all out that he’s going to take Maggie’s half of the fortune and Victor can watch from the painting.
This moment screamed of the painting coming to life and reaching out to strangle Konstantin, but it wasn’t in the cards.
Instead, we’re left waiting to see what his next move is, but the way the show is, we’re sure there will be some way for Victor to reach out from the grave and trip Konstantin into the fireplace or something similar when it seems like he’s about to get away.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: The perfect homage
While it’s great that Victor will be present in the show like his biggest rival, the best homage is going to be this storyline as everything Victor spent his life building will be threatened by a greedy friend that’s upset he wasn’t in Victor’s will.
‘Days of Our Lives’ are looking forward to seeing how this plays out, and It’s going to be fun seeing what tricks Konstantin has up his sleeve and if Victor will “help” out like we hope he will.
This storyline has so much potential to be great in every way if it’s done right, and so far we’re liking it.
