‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal major shake ups. In the first episode since the Friday, November 8th time jump, we learn what life looks like in Salem one year in the future. It’s not a pretty sight. There’s so much going on, it’s hard to keep it all straight. If you missed it, let’s break it down.
‘Days of Our Live’ spoilers: Returns
One thing that’s changed in Salem is the return of Chad DiMera and Abigail Deveraux (Billy Flynn and Kate Mansi). They clearly uprooted their life in Paris to be with Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves) as she lay in a coma all that time. They won’t be the only ones back in town, but that’s something for another time. They are also living in the DiMera mansion, so it looks like Chad is back in control. Have we finally seen the end of the revolving door at DiMera?
‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers: Locked up
Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) reveals that a woman was arrested and jailed for Jennifer’s fall. While they didn’t reveal a name, spoilers for the next couple of weeks (as well as the promo) reveal that Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) is behind bars. So, it’s likely she got blamed.
Also locked up in future Salem is Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson). After a horrific murder, he clearly isn’t able to outrun his past anymore. In the episode, Ben asserts his innocence, but he’s still in jail. He’s also still having nightmares like in the Halloween episode.

The most shocking news comes through Ben. All episode, he’s talking about his nightmares. He also slowly reveals the events that led him behind bars through flashback scenes. Through it all, he keeps apologizing to another man in a bunk above him. We don’t see him until the end of Ben’s scenes, and it’s a shocker. Somehow, Will Horton (Chandler Massey) has managed to land behind bars as well. Yes, we’re blown away, too.
‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers: Couples count
We learn in this episode that Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) and Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) are still together. So are Jack and Jennifer, of course, as well as Chad and Abbi. But there’s more.
Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) has a new man. We don’t know exactly who he is. As pointed out in yesterday’s article, there are going to be mysteries to piece together for a while to come.
Newlysingle is JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss), but it’s not what you’re probably thinking. We’ll get to it in another article. Suffice it to say, this was a total head scratcher. It’s also kind of sad, as we liked the pairing with Haley Chen (Thia Megia).

Finally, it seems that Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) and Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) got closer in the missing year. This is less of a mind-blowing revelation, as they were building a friendship before the jump. However, what they’ve been up to it a bit of a surprise. Stay tuned, because we’re going to go into that in depth in another one. For now, let’s just say that the writers have given a lot to process.
