‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Stephanie Won’t Hesitate to Say Yes!
It will be a major surprise for Stephanie, who thought they had exchanged all their Christmas presents. We have a sneaking suspicion that Alex will give Stephanie a ring and ask her to marry him.
While we know that Alex is crazy in love with Stephanie and vice versa, there is some trouble on the horizon for the happy couple.
We predict that Stephanie will be thrilled and obviously say yes to becoming Alex’s wife. However, the DOOL winter preview shows that Stephanie will be kidnapped soon.
However, we don’t think the culprit will be Jeremy Horton (Michael Roark). Wes Ramsey is reprising his role as Owen Kent. Owen has actually kidnapped Stephanie in the past under EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) orders.
Since spoilers indicate that a blast from Stephanie’s past returns to Salem in the coming weeks, it’s likely Owen who is the one chloroforming Stephanie and dragging her away in the winter preview.
Alex and Stephanie are at a New Year’s Eve party when Alex presents Stephanie with a special gift. An engagement ring may be the last thing Stephanie would expect.
We can imagine Alex pulling the classic romantic move and getting down on one knee and proposing to Stephanie in front of a room full of people.
It’s also possible he may even ask Stephanie’s father, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols), permission to ask for his daughter’s hand in marriage before hand. Spoilers tease that Stephanie and Alex will have a quickie wedding ceremony this winter.
Alex used to be a major player, but when it comes to his love for Stephanie, he’s all in. Of course, once Stephanie’s stalker finds out that she and Alex are engaged, he won’t be happy.

We have to wonder if that’s when Stephanie’s obsessed fan will strike. To make matters even more complicated, rumors are swirling that Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins), who was pregnant with Alex’s baby when she left town, may suddenly show up again.
It would be super soapy if, while all this is happening, Joy returns to Salem with Alex’s child. Even the math involved makes perfect sense.
Joy left Salem back in March. It’s been exactly nine months since Joy has been around. She had lied to Alex and Stephanie, telling them her pregnancy test was negative.
Now would be the opportune time for her to come back and drop a bombshell: “Congratulations, Alex, you’re a daddy!” Remember how Stephanie admitted to Alex that she wasn’t ready to have kids?
It could be a major dealbreaker for them if Joy returns. Alex really wants to have children, but he wants Stephanie to be the mother.
It’s a classic soap opera storyline setup. Plus, the stakes will be raised when Stephanie is kidnapped. Inevitably, we can picture Joy coming back either when Stephanie is kidnapped or immediately after the ordeal.
If DOOL REALLY wants to go all-out soap trope, Joy could bring Alex’s SORAS’d kid to Salem to introduce them. Stephanie and Alex are going to be involved in some major drama in the coming weeks.
We all know that Stephanie will accept Alex’s proposal, but we’ll see if all the drama brings them closer or drives a wedge between them.
