‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers confirmed her status with the peacock soap. In a recent interview with Soap Opera Digest, Haiduk dished on her Y&R comeback as Patty Williams.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: What’s Going On With DOOL Anyway?
The recent bloodbath at DOOL and several recasts have frustrated fans with the direction the show seems to be taking.
We weren’t overly upset about the impending departure of four major DOOL actors, including Carson Boatman (Johnny DiMera), Raven Bowens (Chanel Dupree DiMera), Ashley Puzemis (Holly Jonas), and Leo Howard (Tate Black).
That said, Holly and Tate, both children of legacy characters, play the show’s main teenage couple. Their fans were very upset that they were being written off of DOOL.

Additionally, many viewers enjoy Johnny and Chanel. They are a stable, happy couple, and with a newly adopted son and another baby on the way, fans thought they were poised to finally see Johnny and Chanel get the happy ending they deserve.
Sadly, that may not be the case. We’re unsure at this point how DOOL will write these four stars off the show, but with Chanel’s risky pregnancy and Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) targeting Holly with psychotropic drugs, anything is possible.
However, we were heartbroken to see Alice Hasley (Rachel Black) leave the show. Yet her exit was entirely her decision. She’s going to star as Laura Ingalls Wilder on the Netflix reboot of Little House on the Prairie. She’s moving on to bigger and better things now.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Stacy Haiduk Is Not On Contract With DOOL and Is No Longer Filming
On the other hand, we’re scratching our heads as to why DOOL is letting Stacy Haiduk go without a fight. During her SOD interview, Haiduk revealed that DOOL had basically “put her characters to rest.”
She’s not under contract with DOOL, which means she’s free to be under contract with The Young and the Restless, should Josh Griffith decide that is what is best for the show. He could undoubtedly snatch her up, as Haiduk genuinely wants to work.
At first, it was reported that Haiduk would remain on both shows. Unfortunately, Haiduk is only slated to appear on DOOL as Kristen DiMera and Susan Banks through 2026.

Haiduk shared with SOD that she’s no longer filming with DOOL. We have no idea what that means for her Salem alter-egos, but we know we don’t like it.
The good news is that Haiduk said that if DOOL comes calling once again for Kristen, Susan, or both, she would definitely show up.
Stacy’s upcoming departure from DOOL is a significant loss for the Salem-based soap. Next to Dan Feuerriegel, who plays Kristen’s brother, EJ DiMera, she’s the most versatile and underutilized talent on the show.
Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Haiduk Is a Powerhouse, and an Underrated Daytime Gem
Haiduk flawlessly portrayed two polar-opposite roles as Kristen and Susan. Kristen is so much fun as the manipulative schemer, and the eccentric Susan is a breath of fresh air.
Stacy brings the drama and comic relief to DOOL. Haiduk is an Emmy-worthy performer and should have been plucked by Days for a long-term contract long ago.
We all got sick of the repetitive storylines she was handed with her desperate obsession with Brady Black (Eric Martsolf). However, when she was given quality material, boy, did she deliver in spades!

One of the best in the soap business, but often overlooked, Haiduk brings a raw, relatable quality and complexity to Kristen that no other actress could manage to pull off. She also has a unique energy that makes her characters so entertaining.
As the villainess Kristen, she’s extremely watchable. However, this past summer, she played a mother who went to prison to protect her daughter, Rachel, who had shot her uncle EJ.
You could feel the depth of Kristen’s unconditional love for Rachel when she was determined to save her child at all costs. No matter what. We saw Kristen’s vulnerability and truth as Haiduk delivered a tour de force.
Days of Our Lives Spoilers: DOOL Could Lose Haiduk to Y&R
Then, when the DiMeras were kidnapped, she stepped up in that storyline as well. In short, Haiduk is a powerhouse, and she’s proven that on countless occasions.
We can’t believe the powers that be at Days of Our Lives didn’t offer her a long-term contract to remain in her roles. It’s painfully foolish of them.
If they lose Haiduk to Y&R, that’s on them. It’s a shame to see such a wonderful actress being “put on pause” for weaker actors with weaker storylines.

Haiduk generates 100 percent pure DiMera energy when she’s on-screen as Kristen and watching that alone is soap gold.
DOOL should have given Haiduk far more consideration and an opportunity to explore just how far her potential could go.
We wish Stacy Haiduk the best on her next endeavor and hope to see Kristen DiMera and Susan Banks back again sometime in the future.
