There’s always one person Salem seems intent on never allowing to get ahead and turn their life around, and it looks like Sloan Peterson (Jessica Serfaty) is the one this time around and ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers have noticed the town’s enlisted Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) to help.
As is usually the case, good intentions twist and turn as they go sideways because of a person’s actions or perceived actions.
For Sloan, there’s little doubt Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) did everything she could to smear Sloan for fighting for justice for what she believed happened to her parents through legal means, but then she stood by and represented her brother as best she could out of loyalty.
In the end, Paulina was justified for paying off police to protect her daughter and avoid any day in court to get a final ruling, and Sloan’s been vilified. But Sloan has worked to move on from that, so now Melinda has become the devil on her shoulder.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – She means well
To be fair, Melinda means well and she wants to help out her friend, but she really messes up by jumping the gun and telling Sloan and Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) they were guaranteed a baby boy, who was later yanked away from them.
This could be chalked up to Melinda’s ego or sloppy writing. Either way, that’s not going to happen and knowing Eric’s going to be heartbroken Sloan intends to tell him the truth.
But therein lies the problem.
Melinda tried to talk her out of it, and now that Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte) has decided to show up at Sloan’s doorstep for whatever reason, it’ll give Melinda a chance to convince Sloan to accept Eric’s son as their adopted baby.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers – Intent on dragging her down
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers have noticed once Salem has its hooks in someone, it doesn’t let go and that’ll be the way it is here as Sloan will be buffeted on both sides to take the baby.
Dimitri won’t be able to take it to the hospital since he’s wanted and Rafe Hernandez (Glen Gering) has a special ax to grind for him. Add in some fast talking by Melinda and Sloan will give in out of fear and to not break Eric’s heart.
We’d love to see Sloan refuse or come clean with Eric entirely, especially since the baby is premature and we’re sure the writers will skip over that part, but that would end the drama and torment.
It’s only a matter of time until Sloan’s conscience gets the better of her, but by then things will be too late for her and Eric.
