‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers confirm that Martha Madison, who plays Belle Black, and Brandon Beemer, who plays Shawn Douglas Brady, are returning to the soap for Doug Williams’s (Bill Hayes) funeral and John Black’s (Drake Hogeystn) passing.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Belle And Shawn Will Be Part Of Doug And John’s Send-Offs
The actors recently spoke with Soap Opera Digest and said the show honored them beautifully. Both actors passed away this year. Bill Hayes died in January at the age of 98, and Drake Hogestyn died of pancreatic cancer in September at the age of 70, just one day before his 71st birthday.

Shawn will return on Friday, November 29th, when the news of Doug’s passing spreads. On John’s upcoming funeral,
Martha Madison said,
“It’s a tribute that I think we’ll all need our tissues through, and certainly we did.”
“There was not a dry eye in the house for many, many days. It was really nice to have everyone there who came back for this because we all had such an important relationship with Drake,”
She observed.
“The veil between real life and fiction life was very thin at this time,”
She admitted.
“You’re going to see a lot of personal mourning through these scenes.”
The actress also promises that their return will bring drama, and the Day of Days preview revealed that Belle will be involved in a juicy romance with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel).

“Shelle” fans shouldn’t worry too much. Shawn and Belle will always be in each other’s orbit, but for now, the couple will be splitting up, which is a story arc that Martha Madison is eager to explore.
Madison claims that new head writers Paula Cwikly and Jeanne Marie Ford are “chefs kiss.” There are a lot of stories planned for the show’s 60th season.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Belle And Shawn Were High-School Sweethearts
Beemer said that his character, Shawn, no longer uses alcohol as a crutch, and he’s getting along with Belle better than ever.
It also looks like the soap will wake Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) from his coma, which will surely lift Shawn and Hope Brady’s (Kristen Alfonso) spirits after Doug and John’s deaths.
Brandon concurred with his on-screen partner, Madison, that the material the writers are churning out is extraordinary, and he’s thrilled to be a part of it.
“I was very happy to be there for John’s funeral,”
He exclaimed.
“They could have not had my character there, but I got to be there to celebrate John’s life and Drake Hogeystyn, who was definitely gone way too soon,”

He lamented.
“That was really sad. But the show honored him in a very, very beautiful way,”
He said.
“Fans are inquiring whether or not it’s possible for Shawn and Belle to reunite after everything transpired between them.”

After Shawn shoots his father, Bo, thinking he is protecting Hope, he needs time alone. Shawn and Belle were high-school sweethearts, so there’s a significant history between them, and they were long thought to be the next Bo and Hope.
That being said, there’s always hope for fan-favorite super couples, but for now, it looks like they will spend time apart to pursue different paths.
