‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers pose the question: Is DOOL setting up Chanel Dupree DiMera (Raven Bowens) to die from cancer?
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Johnny Was Shocked to Feel a Lump on Chanel’s Breast
In the April 15th episode of the Peacock soap, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Chanel were getting intimate, and suddenly, Johnny stopped and told Chanel that he just felt a lump.
It was the last thing viewers were expecting, as spoilers had indicated there might be some DiMera-related drama for Johnny and Chanel in today’s episode.

However, what we got instead was Johnny feeling what he thought may be a lump in her breast. The show has already foreshadowed Chanel’s cancer for a while now.
During one of their visits to Chanel’s high-risk pregnancy specialist, the doctor explained that they couldn’t determine whether Chanel’s cancer had returned until after the placenta was delivered because the tumor and the pregnancy both produce the same hormones.
The soap has shown Chanel struggling during this pregnancy on several occasions. A few weeks ago, she experienced some cramping. These cramps were symptoms, but the doctors couldn’t determine what they really meant.

Chanel also has a highly unusual medical history. A couple of years ago, she suffered a miscarriage primarily due to a molar pregnancy.
Johnny and Chanel had mistakenly believed that she lost their baby due to radiation exposure during a rescue mission by her mother, Paulina Price Carver (Jackee Harry).
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Carson Boatman and Raven Bowens Were Both Let Go from DOOL
However, Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) later told the couple that Chanel’s miscarriage was related to pregnancy complications. The incident caused Chanel to have long-term fertility issues.
Chanel was closely monitored for months. She had to wait for the green light from her doctor before she and Johnny could try to expand their family again.

Chanel ended up pregnant, but it’s unclear whether the pregnancy was planned or a “miracle baby,” as Chanel believes.
What DOOL fans fear after today’s episode is that Chanel may pass away from cancer. After all, Carson Boatman and Raven Bowens were both let go from the soap.

In January 2026, it was announced that Carson Boatman and Raven Bowens were fired from DOOL. The actors were reportedly “blindsided” when they returned from their holiday break and learned the news. Frankly, so were we.
Johnny and Chanel will be on-screen until later this year, which perfectly aligns with Chanel’s due date. Their exits, coupled with the timing, has prompted viewer speculation that Chanel’s departure will be tragic.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Remember, Death Means Nothing In Salem, and EJ DiMera is Johnny’s Father
Fans were hoping that Chanel would give birth to their miracle baby, and that Johnny and Chanel would take Trey DiMera (Joseph Ihlenf and Jordan Perdue) and their new little one to Hollywood, where Johnny would score his dream job as a director.
That would obviously be the best-case scenario. Sadly, it looks like the show is going a different direction with Johnny and Chanel’s exit story.

The exit story that would have the most dramatic impact would be if Chanel delivered the baby, but her cancer returned, and she passed away.
That said, we have to wonder whether EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) could do something to help Chanel, like he has done with Lexie Carver (Nikki Crawford).
Since death means nothing on DOOL, and Chanel is technically a DiMera, for better or for worse, EJ would likely do everything in his power to save his beloved son’s wife.

Despite all EJ’s past dirty tricks, he loves his family deeply and would do whatever it took to protect them. EJ and Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) have developed a miracle of their own through their scientific experiments.
EJ and Dr. Rolf have already brought the dead back to life. Perhaps EJ could perform the ultimate miracle for his family and save Chanel’s life? Anything is possible in Salem. To be continued….
