‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal that the incredible little actress, Alice Halsey, who plays Rachel Black, is leaving DOOL temporarily to play in the reboot of Little House on the Prairie.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Sophia May Have Found a Louise to Her Thelma
We have to wonder how her exit will affect her current storyline and how DOOL plans to explain Rachel’s absence. We suspect that Rachel and Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) will escape from Bayview at some point soon.
Rachel was heartbroken when Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Tate Black (Leo Howard) told her that she wouldn’t be home in time for Christmas.
She talked it over with her stuffed snake and said she would be leaving Bayview soon, which obviously foreshadows a potential breakout from the place.
Rachel and Sophia have bonded, and it looks like Sophia may have found a Lousie to her Thelma. We can picture them conspiring to escape from Bayview.
Whatever the case, Alice Halsey will exit the show, and we hope it’s temporary. There have been no rumors or spoilers indicating that the role will be recast.
Halsey plays Rachel like a seasoned pro. We definitely don’t want to lose her from the canvas. It’s hard to say, though, since DOOL films so far in advance.
What we do know, however, is that Halsey’s Little House on the Prairie reboot has already taped from June to October of this year.
She plays the lead role of Laura Ingalls. The reboot will be available on Netflix. It’s conceivable that Halsey could leave for a while.
Halsey has managed to convincingly play a DiMera next-generation villain while simultaneously tugging at our heartstrings.
Her scenes with Rachel Boyd are the stuff of soap gold. We can’t imagine the show would recast such an exceptional little actress.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Rachel and Sophia Are In Cahoots
Right now, Brady thinks his daughter has accepted the situation and is doing the hard work. However, she’s in cahoots with Sophia.
Sophia knows how bad to the bone Rachel is for a kid her age, and she’s going to use that to her advantage. Rachel knows what Sophia did to Tate, but is still choosing to go along with Sophia’s schemes.
It looks like the little girl may see Sophia as the cool older teen and possibly wants to impress her, which works well for Sophia.
Therefore, the idea of them breaking out together makes perfect sense. The only question is, where exactly will they go?
We have a feeling that Sophia may try to take little Trey DiMera (Jordan Perdue and Joseph Ihlenf) from Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Chanel Dupree DiMera (Raven Bowens).
Rachel is also worried about her mom, Kristen DiMera (Stacey Haiduk). Everyone thinks she escaped from prison. Yet, she has been kidnapped from Statesville.
She’s stuck in the DiMera family crypt with the rest of the DiMeras. Rachel really wants to see her mom. She may try to find her if she and Sophia manage to break free.
The only fear we have is the off-chance that Rachel may be recast. Alice Halsey is a rare gem. We can’t really fathom it happening, but if the story requires Rachel to be there, and Halsey isn’t, we’re unsure of what DOOL will do.
