‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) will break up with JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) after he accuses her of shooting EJ DiMera (Dan Feurriegel).
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Gabi Doesn’t Have An Alibi For The Night EJ Was Shot
JJ previously caught Gabi holding a gun on EJ when he was holding her brother, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering), hostage and threatened to blow his head off if he didn’t tell her where he was hiding Rafe.
JJ walked into the mansion to make sure Gabi wouldn’t make a mistake that would compromise her freedom again. Not to mention, Detective Deveraux didn’t want to see his girlfriend break the law, and he interceded.
Let’s not forget JJ stopped by Gabi’s home the night EJ was shot. No one was home, which isn’t exactly out of the ordinary, but Gabi had the motive and opportunity to try to kill EJ.
Gabi’s reflection on that evening’s events showed that she indeed went to the DiMera mansion with the intent to shoot EJ, but that doesn’t mean she’s the one who actually pulled the trigger.
We saw several characters with guns either hanging around the DiMera mansion or taking guns from lockboxes and talking to themselves about wanting EJ to pay once and for all. Gabi’s obviously not the only one who had considered shooting EJ.
We also have to wonder if perhaps Gabi knows who fired a bullet at EJ, and she’s covering for them, as EJ could have been down for the count by the time she arrived outside the mansion.
Right now, EJ’s own sister, Kristen DiMera (Stacey Haiduk), is the main suspect. However, that could easily change. Gabi doesn’t have an alibi for the night in question, and JJ will point that out to her when he questions her.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: JJ Will Try To Win Gabi Back Later On
We don’t believe this mystery will be that easy to solve, and Gabi won’t be found guilty. However, JJ will be conflicted, considering he’s an officer of the law and must pursue the direction the case takes him.
Once JJ confronts Gabi, she’ll rage at him for thinking the worst of her and swear she didn’t do it, which we believe will turn out to be the truth.
That’s because later spoilers hint that after JJ finds evidence that leads him down another path, he’ll pull out all the stops to try to romance Gabi and win her back. But will it be too late?
There’s some speculation that Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) might return since the soap is shifting gears once the new writers’ material starts to air on April 24th.
We all know that Stefan is the love of Gabi’s life, and she would take him back in a heartbeat if she knew the truth about the circumstances surrounding his mysterious disappearance.
In the meantime, JJ will wish he hadn’t been so quick to mistrust Gabi. He’ll realize the error of his ways and show up to Gabi’s home with a beautiful bouquet and a sincere apology.
For the time being, Gabi could become the prime suspect in EJ’s shooting. Will JJ have to place his girlfriend under arrest?
