Days of Our Lives spoilers for Thursday, August 14: On the defensive
First, Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate Xander defends himself to Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey). We assume she’s still holding that fit at the Bistro against him and likely doesn’t think he’s taking it seriously. Personally, we think she should remember that she was the one who decided to antagonize him and not put this 100% on Xander when she knew better. Yes, Xander was completely wrong to react the way he did. However, if Sarah wants to make this whole thing work, she has to think about her own actions as well. Like not being surprised Xander would think she was trying to get him to confess on tape. Just saying…
Anyway, we assume he’s going to tell her that he already spoke to Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) about his temper and what plans they’ve made for more sessions. From what we saw, we do think Xander is aware of how bad the problem is and genuinely wants to get himself together.

Elsewhere, it was bound to happen. Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) handled Rachel well in the courtroom. He also gave Rachel a perfect out for any guilt while also setting up reasonable doubt for Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman). However, it looks like the experience is still going to get to Rachel.
On Thursday, August 14, Kristen deals with Rachel’s meltdown. We’re sure that she’ll make sure Rachel understands that her testimony could have actually helped Johnny. Plus, she’ll remind Rachel again of how important it was for her to just tell the truth and leave the rest to the adults.

Finally, Chanel wants to take the fall for Johnny. EJ did just recently remember it was a woman who shot him, and the police have video of her threatening him, whether it’s genuine or not. So, she is definitely a very likely alternative suspect. We suspect EJ is all for it, which might be why Johnny decides to fire him. We think getting Chanel to back off her idea will much harder. She just isn’t the type to back down if she thinks something is the right thing to do.
