Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of Monday, July 21 to Friday, July 25 reveal Doug Williams III (Peyton Meyer) says goodbye. Meanwhile, Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) spins a tale. Plus, what does EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) see? Here’s what you need to know.
Days of Our Lives spoilers for Monday, July 21 to Friday, July 25: Farewell
First, Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal Doug is a man of his word. As promised, he’ll leave Salem. After making a stop to say goodbye to Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes), of course. Surprisingly, she seems to be a lot kinder than in the past. She actually tells him he has a great deal of potential after he apologizes once more for what happened. Julie must have finally take a look at the whole story and realized that Doug may have done a terrible thing, but he was in a bad situation and made a bad choice to handle it. Much like her former con husband, a part of his past that Julie seems to conveniently gloss over when it comes to his grandson.
And we can’t agree more with her assessment. Doug III really did have potential, and it’s a shame the writers have wasted him. He could have been involved in more than a constant attempt to dig himself out of a hole. And we do believe he could have been a great addition to the family’s legacy if they had allowed him to get close and stay that way. Sadly, he’s not the first character to be wasted this way, and we doubt he’ll be the last. Harris Michaels (Steve Burton), anyone?
Days of Our Lives spoilers for Monday, July 21 to Friday, July 25: Lies
Elsewhere, Sophia tells Tate Black (Leo Howard) she had the baby. He’ll be shocked, of course, and disappointed he wasn’t there for the birth. Her confession will likely not go over well, and it will lead to a lot of awkward moments in the future. We just hope Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) covered the bases well enough.

Days of Our Lives spoilers for Monday, July 21 to Friday, July 25: Hypnosis
Finally, the inevitable happens. EJ undergoes Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) magic hypnosis to unlock his memories of the shooting. When Marlena asks him who he’s talking to and what he sees, he becomes visibly agitated. We wonder if this means the theory that Rachel Black (Alice Halsey) is actually the shooter might be correct. Like if Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) had been the guilty party, this would likely be very shocking and traumatic for EJ. His subconscious might not allow him to remember, because the idea of who did it is too painful. We can’t see that being the case for the other long list of suspects. Most of which, by the way, have already been eliminated.
