‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal that after much speculation, Kristen DiMera’s (Stacey Haiduk) brother, Peter Blake, is returning to the soap.

Jason Brooks originally played the role. While longtime fans likely know all about Peter and his dastardly ways, some newer fans may want a brief history lesson.
Peter was introduced as a very shady character in 1993 and stuck around until Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) supposedly shot and killed him in 1996.
The character returned in 1997 and stayed until 1998. Peter contracted Jungle Madness, and he went insane, which made him a serious threat to others.
Peter went to prison but was said to have disappeared after his release in 2019. During his time in Salem, Peter was romantically linked to Jennifer Horton Deveraux (Melissa Reeves).
He was a drug dealer who had briefly considered walking away from his life of crime. However, he feared that her mother, Laura Horton (Jaime Lyn Baur), would discover his secret, and he hired Daniel Scott (Stan Ivar) to “take care of her.”
Due to inhaling toxic paint after her office was redecorated, Laura accused him of plotting to kill Jennifer. She was subsequently sent to a mental facility. ‘
Jennnifer fell asleep in her mother’s office and ended up at the same facility. When Jennifer and Laura were trapped, Peter saved the day, and the toxic paint was blamed on Daniel.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Peter Was Jack’s Rival for Jennifer’s Affection
When Jack returned to Salem in 1994, he tried to win Jen back, but she told him it was too late as she was planning to marry Peter.
Peter had proposed to Jennifer at Aramid and she said yes. However, Jack continued to pursue Jennifer. Peter left behind his criminal lifestyle to make an honest life with Jennifer, and the pair were married in 1995.
Yet, Peter still did some dirty deeds, and when Jack tried to expose him to Jennifer, she didn’t believe him until her mother finally told her the truth.
When Jen kicked him out of their home, he attempted to kidnap her, which Jack stopped when he shot him. He was presumed dead.
However, as we all know, actual death is a very rare occurrence in Salem, as Stefano DiMera (Joe Mascolo) saved him only for him to later come down with an illness called “Jungle Madness.”
Of course, Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) gave Peter the cure. Peter left town, but when he returned, Jack, Jennifer, and their daughter, Abigail Deveraux DiMera (Marci Miller), went on the run and joined the circus.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Peter Is Connected to What EJ Is Cooking Up in the Lab
Once his numerous crimes finally caught up with him, Peter went to prison. Stefano later arranged for Peter to be placed in a minimum-security prison. He was released in 2019.
Dan Guthier will now play the role of Peter Blake. He’ll start his run on DOOL on December 19, 2025.
Soap fans may know that Guthier played Kevin Buchanan on the now-defunct soap, One Life to Live. He was the twelth actor to play the role of Kevin on OLTL.
It will be interesting to see Peter back on the show. The DiMera family is planning something big involving Dr. Rolf and, no doubt, Stefano. Peter’s sudden return is obviously connected to whatever scheme EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) is cooking up in that secret lab.
Of his new part on DOOL, Guthier told TV Guide Magazine,
“I don’t want to give up too much because that’s the fun. The surprise to viewers is his being there or how he is there.”
