‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers confirm Alice Halsey has officially exited from her role as Rachel Black. Her last airdate was today, on March 5th.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Halsey Played Rachel Black with Talent that Far Surpasses Her Years
We’re going to really miss this little pint-sized powerhouse. Halsey was given the opportunity to have a starring role in Netflix’s reboot of Little House on the Prairie.
The ten-year-old actress is playing Laura Ingalls Wilder. Netflix has also renewed the show for season two. Halsey is undoubtedly moving on to bigger and better things.
She came onto the DOOL canvas, walking into a very tough storyline as Rachel shot her uncle, EJ DiMera(Dan Feuerriegel). The actress’s portrayal of Rachel was multi-layered and nuanced. Her performances were always spot-on.
Halsey captured the moment that Rachel pulled the trigger on her uncle EJ with fear, trepidation, courage, and conviction in equal measure. In that scene, she played up against the incredible Dan Feuerriegel and held her own.

Additionally, Halsey isn’t only one of the best young actors that daytime has ever seen, she may be one of the best period. Some adult actors wouldn’t have been able to pull off the level of material Halsey mastered.
Halsey is adept at portraying Rachel’s raw vulnerability while maintaining her signature bratty princess personality.
The actress thrived in scenes with her on-screen mother, Stacy Haiduk, in the Christmas episode, where Rachel went to the hospital to visit her mother after Kristen was kidnapped.

Halsey also broke our hearts when Rachel’s father, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf), made the difficult and very painful decision to leave her in a mental health facility.
“After shooting 56 episodes of Days of Our Lives in nine months, it was not easy to say goodbye to my friends in the cast and crew who had become like family. I will be forever grateful for the privilege to play such a fascinating, complicated character and to be a part of this epic story.”

Martsolf wrote back to his on-screen daughter,
“I will miss you like bonkers! I will treasure being your TV Dad before your obvious ascent into superstardom. Love ya, Alice.”
“This little star is wrapping up here as my tv daughter on Days tomorrow.”
Martsolf added,
“Once in a while, as a thespian, you get to swap lines and time with what you know to be a true talent. Alice, you impressed me from day one, and I will miss sharing scenes with you. Now go out there and conquer the prairie, superstar! Love, E.”
The role of Rachel Black will be recast. DOOL has yet to announce who has been tapped to fill Alice Halsey’s very big shoes. Stay tuned!
