‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) Spoilers finds that star Victoria Konefal is someone who likes to have a lot of fun on social media, but this week she got serious – that’s because she took part in a charity event for a cause that is very near and dear to her heart. Here’s what you need to know.
The actress, who is best known for her role as Ciara Brady on the hit NBC soap, shard a photo of her at the Los Angeles Zoo for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, which was sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Association of Los Angeles. Victoria took part in the walk mostly because her beloved grandmother passed away with Alzheimer’s many years ago, too. That’s why she is “walking the walk” so to speak to help raise awareness.

Victoria wrote in the caption of her post, “THANK YOU @alzassociation for inviting me to participate in the “Walk to End Alzheimer’s”. I lost my grandmother to Alzheimer’s a couple of years ago, so this cause is very special to me. @nikdeloach You brought me to tears with your speech, and the white flower representing the future of the first survivor sent chills throughout the bones of the entire audience. I’m so proud of you.”

The stunning brunette beauty added, “According to what I learned today, more than 50% of Americans know someone who is suffering from Alzheimer’s/ another form of dementia. As many fans know, the soap world often tackles serious health issues like Alzheimer’s, memory loss, and other health matters that concern many people in everyday life. It’s great to see a wonderful actress like Victoria Konefal participating in an event that is helping to bring awareness to so many people. Kudos to Victoria for also opening up about her own family’s personal history with Alzheimer’s, too.
