NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) is pushing it. We know we’re supposed to feel some kind of sympathy for this character. She is, after all, dealing with the loss of her daughter.
So, we don’t hate her exactly. However, we do have some serious issues with how this is being handled on the writers’ end. Let’s take a look at the latest, and what we see.

So, ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal Lani Price (Sal Stowers) could see the writing on the wall. She knew Melinda was too emotionally involved to try Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) case, and she went to Abe Carver (James Reynolds) to say so.
Honestly, she never should’ve been allowed near that case to start with. That’s the most obvious conflict of interest we’ve seen and it’s kind of bugging that no one said a thing before Lani.
Even worse, Abe did take Lani’s words seriously enough to meet with Melinda. Despite the fact he looked a bit unsure of her assertion she can be professional, he gave in. Melinda stayed on the case, and that led us to a cringe-worthy scene today. One that actually looked quite familiar.

In the Monday episode, Kristen prepared to leave for her trial. She clearly had a lot of apprehension, but Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) did his best to soothe her. At least until a knock on the door.
It was Melinda, and it was the most shameless, pathetic display from a so-called professional we’ve seen in a while. Well, okay. The DiMera and Titan dramas get pretty bad as well. But this just felt worse somehow.
Melinda actually showed up with food to gloat to Kristen. She made it clear that Kristen better say goodbye to that kid now, because she’s not coming home. Brady, obviously, was furious and kicked Melinda out. We think this struck us as worse for a couple of reasons.
One, Melinda swore she could do her job and Abe had the horrible judgement to believe her. Secondly, we just saw this scene not long ago. Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn), if we remember correctly, did the same thing to Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) before her own trial. We’re hopeful the outcome will be the same for Kristen.

What do we think needs to happen? ‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers reveal we’d mentioned Brady’s anger and Abe’s bad judgement. So, we can’t accept anything less than Brady reporting this and demanding the immediate removal of Trask from the case.
That should delay the proceedings and allow someone else to step in. If they don’t, this is one of the worst examples of Salem PD stupid ever, and that’s saying something. Yeah, we get that it’s a show and all. But some of this is just so over the top, it’s just grating rather than entertaining.
