Maybe she just really, really wants you to think that she’s having a very good time. A lot of fans couldn’t help but notice that whenever Kate Middleton is at one of her official royal engagements or public appearances, she often has a very ‘exaggerated’ laugh in front of the cameras.
In fact, it’s so exaggerated that it looks like she’s about to die laughing at a joke that wasn’t even funny at all. Here’s what you need to know.
The Duchess of Cambridge really put on a show for the cameras this week when she and Prince William during their trip to Orkney in Scotland. This is all part of their sentimental trip to the north, which also including a return to the University of St. Andrews, where they met and fell in love 20 years ago.
Critics Slam Kate Middleton’s Exaggerated, ‘Maniac’ Laugh
Of course, it didn’t take long at all for many royal critics to comment on the matter, as it seems as though Kate has the same exaggerated expression in most of the photos of each and every royal engagement that she attends.
Many of the comments included, “Oh gawd, she’s gone full on manic laugh again. Why does no-one tell her that these over exaggerated facial expressions are just awful? Does no-one ever say ‘no’ to this precious pair?” along with, “I think that’s exactly why she does exaggerate her expressions, to give the impression that she is not frozen; she doesn’t understand that it makes her forehead stand out like a block of ice.”
Another critic wrote, “The last time I saw that expression it was on a donkey who came up to my car window to take animal food pellets out of my hand in a drive-thru zoo. Okay I know that’s very mean but she really needs to stop with these expressions.”
