Well, at least this is something everyone can agree on. There’s a new report that suggests the majority of Brits believe that it’s Prince Andrew who has brought on the most shame for the royal family, and not Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, as some would have guessed.
This is because Virginia Giuffre has accused the Duke of York of sexual assault in what appears to be a nasty lawsuit that will certainly drag the royal family’s name in the mud. Here’s what you need to know.
Critics Say It’s Prince Andrew Who Has Brought The Most Shame To The Royal Family
During the most recent episode of the Lorraine Show, lawyer Arick Fudali went on the show to provide an update on the case. He said, “Essentially the course set a loose scheduling order, which of course is going to lead to the inevitable trial if it’s going to go that far in late 2022.”
He added, “What was significant is that there was a discussion about deposition or interviews under oath. Prince Andrew would have to face deposition, and so would Miss Guiffre. Anyone with relevant information to the investigation could be deposed.”
This comes after Prince Andrew’s legal team called the lawsuit “frivolous.” Lawyers for the Duke of York say he “unequivocally denies” sexually abusing or assaulting Ms Giuffre, now 38, and described her lawsuit as “frivolous” and an attempt to “achieve another payday at his expense.”
The allegations, which Andrew has repeatedly denied, have been labelled as an attempt to “create a media frenzy online and in the traditional press” against “a member of the world’s best known royal family”, claimed the duke’s lawyers.
Meanwhile, a separate report suggests Prince Andrew is pissed that no one is backing him up at Buckingham Palace. According to the Sunday Times, there are very few people in his royal inner circle who are willing to say anything nice about him. Instead, they describe him as boorish, arrogant and insufferable.
