Christeline Petersen of South Africa has accused Seeking Sister Wife stars, Dimitri Snowden and Ashley Snowden of domestic violence.
Christeline joined season three of the controversial reality show when Dimitri and Ashley invited her over to the US as somewhat of an audition, to see if she would be a good fit as a sister wife.
The mother of two met the couple online and visited her potential husband and sister wife for a 7 day ‘courting’.
‘Seeking Sister Wife’: Stars Accused of Domestic Violence
Now Christeline has filed a restraining order against the reality pair, alleging she suffered abuse several times over the year in which she and her children have been involved with the polyamorous family.
According to court documents, Christeline was granted a temporary restraining order against Dimitri. Though the order was also against Ashley, the court cited a need for more information and explanation on their relationship. A protective order is being addressed in a hearing this week.
While we do not have complete clarification, it seems that Christeline and her two children moved from South Africa to Los Angeles to become part of the Snowden family. The restraining order describes Dimitri as Christeline’s husband but this could be by name only.
We do know Christeline was present in Los Angeles in January, as the court documents claim Dimitri woke her up by “slamming my head into the headboard of the bed and he was yelling at me.”
This incident, apparently not the first of its kind, was alleged to have occurred in January and Petersen did file a police report.
Similarly, Ashley was said to have physically abused Christeline in January. Paperwork from Christeline alleged that Ashley “shoved me to prevent me from leaving the home my husband and I shared with her.”
Further allegations include Ashley throwing a bottle at Christeline along with being verbally abusive while Dimitri engaged in rough sex with the woman. Christeline’s children are also said to be frightened of Ashley and Dimitri.
There has been no word yet from the Snowden’s camp nor from TLC, the network which airs Seeking Sister Wives.
