You do you, girl. Chrissy Teigen says that she’s really trying hard to keep sober and keep her head above water during these trying times. The celebrity model opened up about how she’s trying to navigate awards season while sober and says that she’s also completed her last round of IVF in the hopes that she can become a mother again. Here’s what she has to say.
During an interview with ET, Chrissy says that she has a lot of regret for some of the drunken things she’s said in the past.
Chrissy Teigen Is Trying Really Hard To Stay Sober
“These things are very weird for me because I’m so used to getting so hammered at these things,” Teigen admitted. “Awards season, I very much connect to enjoying yourself and having champagne, but I also connected with those feelings of immense regret or stupid moments.”
“Like, ‘I can’t believe I said that.’ or ‘I can’t believe I did that’ and ‘I’m so embarrassed,'” she continued. “So, it’s so nice not to have those feelings anymore.” Chrissy also said that she’s completed her last round of IVF just last month.
“I finished my IVF part, so I feel so much healthier and so much better with that,” Chrissy said. “So, the sobriety journey is fun, we’ll see if I’m gonna make it through this awards season with nothing.”
The model and her husband John Legend have been married since September 2013 and share two children: 5-year-old daughter Luna and 3-year-old son Miles.
Back in October of 2020, fans were left divided by Chrissy’s public grieving on Instagram. Chrissy posted a message on her Instagram account that said, “We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before. We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough.”
She added, “We never decide on our babies’ names until the last possible moment after they’re born, just before we leave the hospital. But we, for some reason, had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack. So he will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever.”
