Comedian Chris D’Elia posted last night on his YouTube channel. It was raw, emotional, and seemingly truthful. The topic was how sex has controlled his life and the allegations that he’s been dealing with the last several months.
It’s been 8 months since he’s last done anything. It was then that allegations surfaced that he was grooming underage girls online and sending sexually explicit pictures to several women.
In his statement, he claims all his relationships were consensual and legal, though he seems to understand that his conduct was wrong.

He goes on to say that “this had to happen” otherwise “he wasn’t going to stop”. It took this event for him to realize that cheating on “the woman of his dreams”, Kristin Taylor was wrong and how much it’s hurt his family.
The video, we all must admit, seemed like a testimony to a man who was struggling with something. Of course, this doesn’t excuse any of his morality issues and actions. However, I will give him points for honesty.
It did feel like he meant what he was saying and he cut himself off several times as he struggled to put words together.
It’s an interesting statement. An honest one. A disturbing one. At any rate, we’re glad he’s seeking treatment.
Interesting to me was the outcry of support in the comment section.
We’ll have to see where the allegations go, but it seems D’Elia is doing what’s best for him and his family.
