Joeybtoonz (Joey Borelli) is a commentator that details just how ridiculous and crazy our society has gotten, especially through social media. According to his biography on Instagram, he, “highlights the absurdities of popular trends and break spells cast onto society by wizards.”

He has covered everything from hypocrites, social media disasters, and narcissists, no one is safe from the hilarious and 100% true commentary from Joey. This leads us to these new phenomena of eating your dinner and recording it. No, really. That’s it. This is called mukbang (sounds disturbing as hell) and consists of just people recording them eating. Take a look at this newest video using the link below.

    “Food and #SOCIALMEDIA

Today we explore people who film themselves eating dinner.”

Viewers commented on the video, “We are doomed as a society !!!! A lady yelled “PUT YOUR MASK ON” while I was walking through a stop & shop parking lot while she was pushing her cart filled with nothing but sweets ??‍♂️??‍♂️??‍♂️Covid-BAD Diabetes- GOOD”, “I’ve learned of some weird shit through you, dude. ? Had no idea this stuff existed. Could have lived my whole life without knowing but hey”, “We live in a clown world. Smh” and “Has anybody seen the movie ‘Idiocracy’?It’s literally the future.”.

While there are always trends that will be going around the internet, at what point do we remember our dignity and create something of worth? As Joey says, these are always things that literally anyone can do, and showcases an amazing guitar player, Beatriz Sousa, who had less than 500 subscribers on YouTube. Now she’s nearing 2,000 in just a day. These are the kind of people we should be amazed at and support.

What do you think? Is mukbang a disgusting trend that will pass soon or do you think this is around for the long haul? Let us know in the comments below.
