Eric Fleishman, AKA “Eric The Trainer,” a well-known celebrity trainer, died unexpectedly on Thanksgiving at the age of 53. Fleishman died on Thursday morning at his home in Glendale, California.
Eric worked as a personal trainer for several prominent personalities in TV, film, and the music industry, including Def Leppard, Journey, Fall Out Boy, and Nickelback, as well as Kirstie Alley, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Ethan Suplee, and Jason Priestley. Eric was a friend to several of his celebrity clientele.
Fleishman, on the other hand, did not only work with the famous and wealthy; he also trained the people who keep Los Angeles safe. Police officers. Eric has worked with the LAPD, the L.A. Sheriff’s Academy, the California Highway Patrol, and numerous SWAT units throughout the county during his three-plus decade fitness career. Fleishman got into the fitness and health industry after being inspired by fitness and health pioneer Jack Lalanne.

“We are heartbroken to share that Eric Phillip Fleishman passed away unexpectedly on the morning of November 24, 2022,” a statement from his Instagram account read. “His wife Alysia, son, parents, and close friends/family are deeply saddened by this event. Eric touched many lives for the better. He was a beacon of light, hope, and love.”
During COVID lockdowns, Eric gathered his renowned friends and performed a benefit performance for the Feeding America charity, raising thousands of dollars. Fleishman’s wife Alysia and son Henry survive him.
Rest in peace, Eric. He was 53.
