Jen Shah's Sentencing Date Rescheduled To The New Year

Jen Shah, the star of the ‘Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,’ has seen her sentencing being postponed.

According to reports, Jen’s lawyer Priya Chaudhry decided to file the motion which was then approved. It is now alleged that the sentencing will occur on Friday, 6th January 2023. This is understandable to some degree since the sentencing will now take place following the Christmas festivities.

Regardless of the actual reasoning, Jen has been put through a lot in light of how many times the sentencing has been moved. She was initially set to be sentenced on Friday, November, 18th 2022, before this was moved to Thursday, 15th December 2022.

This was on the basis that there had been a ‘scheduling conflict’ which then impacted the case. But in any event, the postponement will not help Jen for the following reasons. First of all, she will be looking to get this over with as soon as possible.

After all, having this lingering on is not going to do her mental health any good. Secondly, she has already put herself in the firing line when she changed her plea to guilty, despite initially claiming that she was innocent from the outset.

And as part of that, she could end up facing up to 30 years behind bars for telemarketing fraud. This is particularly since her assistant Stuart Smith has already pleaded guilty. With that being said, her future on the housewives franchise is also in doubt.

The fans on social media had a lot to say about the matter. A significant proportion of them did not have any sympathy for Jen. And as a result, they demanded that she be given the highest possible punishment. One person wrote: “Go ahead and give her 12yrs and let’s move on.”

It is fair to say that Jen does not have a lot of support out there, which should not come as a surprise. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
