CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers finds that Genoa City is never lackluster when it comes to incredible story lines and twists that we ever saw coming. However, there was just something so special about the throwback episodes. As production is still halted, fans are enjoying Winters Week on Y&R, and on Wednesday, May 20, we are being taken to February 9, 2005. Let me tell you – it was a zoo back then. Literally.

The episode begins as a celebration for the wonderful Devon Hamilton (Bryton James)! The adopted and loved Winters boy gets to celebrate with his family and friends in Genoa City! Happy birthday, Devon. Unfortunately, Devon got into a little bit of trouble this year. To celebrate, Devon entered the Genoa City zoo late at night, and the next thing you know, he falls into a lion cage and is face to face with a terrifying lion. Naturally, Devon is terrified, but thankfully, his uncle, Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore) will come to the rescue. At this point, viewers had learned that Malcolm had secretly raped Drucila Winters (Victoria Rowell) several years ago and that he was the biological father of Lily Winters (Christel Khalil).

Needless to say, Malcolm Winters wasn’t considered a prince in Genoa City. However, this may be an opportunity to redeem himself with fans. Luckily, Devon gets out without a hitch and goes back to celebrating his birthday! Meanwhile, Brittany Hodges (Lauren Woodland) speaks to J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) about being pregnant. J.T. tries to console her and tell her that everything would be fine.

It’s not a Y&R episode without the Abbott vs. Newman feud. Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) is confused why Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) wants to work with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). We can assume that one of the two Y&R veterans have something up their suit sleeves. It was nice to see Thad Luckinbill back on the show! I had almost forgot about his character. What was your favorite part of today’s episode?
