CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveal that while Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) may be trying to keep their little get together on the down-low, there’s one person that can’t hide from. Their own child, Summer Newman (Hunter King) is on to them and doesn’t want them to take it any further than they already have. Summer has seen her parents get back together and then break up too many times to let them do it again, however, it’s this a little like the pot calling the kettle black?
Summer begins with her mother, who immediately plays stupid like she doesn’t know what she’s talking about. Summer continues to press the issue, however. She tries to crack her mother but she’s resilient! Eventually, Phyllis tries turning it around on Summer and asks her about Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). It’s exactly the same situation to us but Summer doesn’t see it that way. Is it not the same?

Next, Summer tries to bombard her dad at work. However, the same thing happens here. This does nothing but frustrates Summer. She explains that if she were a little kid she’d be so happy that mommy and daddy are getting together, but she’s not a little kid anymore. She has seen the heartbreak and toll it takes on them each time they get together.
For once, I agree with Summer. Wow. I think we all do. We don’t want to see Nick and Phyllis together and what’s worse is they’re completely ignoring the warning signs around them. They’re both in the car driving, but they have blindfolds on and don’t care! Kudos to Summer for trying, but I don’t think it’s going to work. What do you think?
