CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers finds that star Hunter King might play a woman who likes to break hearts on the small screen but in real life her heart belongs to one person only. The actress, who is best known for her role as Summer Newman on the hit CBS soap, is sharing her real-life love story to her fiancé, Nico Svoboda. Here’s what she has to say.
Speaking to Soaps in Depth in a new interview, Hunter says that she first met her future husband in the halls of CBS studios. That’s because Nico is actually a cameraman for ‘Young and the Restless’ sister soap, ‘Bold and the Beautiful’. It didn’t take Hunter very long to realize that he was “the one” for her.

“We’re best friends,” she replied when asked about their relationship. “It’s easy to hang out and talk about nothing. We don’t need to go out to have fun. It’s just fun to be home with him. And he gets along with my family. It’s nice to have your best friend as your life partner. As long as you have a friendship, I feel like that’s so important!”
Hunter says that their first date wasn’t what she expected it to be, mostly because she had some reservations. That’s because she had a love scene to prepare for the next day at work!
“After our first date — he didn’t even kiss me on our first date — I had bedroom scenes the next day!” she recalled with a laugh. “I was like, ‘He’s never going to ask me out again!’ But he did! I was like, ‘Oh, this is going to be awkward when I have kissing scenes.’ Kissing scenes are part of the job and he knows that, but it’s still weird when he’s right there. So, I was happy when he got the job on B&B!”
