CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers finds that we all remember the time that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) were Genoa City’s hottest (and most powerful) couple. Back in September 2001, to be exact. On June 3, 2020, producers take Y&R fans back to the early 2000s to reminisce about Traci Abbott’s (Beth Maitland) family feud with sister Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) and Jack and Phyllis’ romance.
Love is in the air for Jack and Phyllis! After all of his unfortunate relationship woes, you would think Jack would be singing love songs to his fiery redhead – however, it isn’t all sunshine and rainbows for this couple. Despite all of their ups and downs, Jack proposes to his girlfriend, Phyllis. Little does he know that there will be a wild downfall with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). After all, let’s be honest: Phyllis Summers is as sought-after as she is conniving. She doesn’t come easy.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Sister Rivalry – Jack and Phyllis Bliss
In the moment, the two enjoy the moment while the rest of the Abbott siblings fight. Traci and Ashley are duking it out over the dark and handsome Brad Carlton (Don Diamont). To recap: Traci wants Brad. Brad wants Ashley. Traci married Brad, and then Ashley married Brad. Essentially, it’s just the perfect recipe for a family that will live happily ever after!
For some reason, though, the two sisters will go to bat for their man instead of kicking the loser to the curb and repair their family! Blood is thicker than water, ladies. (But, that doesn’t make for great television, now does it?) It looks like 2001 wasn’t a great year for the Abbott family and their love lives!
