Apparently, Prince Charles was none too pleased over the fact that Carole Middleton had a much more prominent role in Prince William and Kate Middleton’s family life than he did. Even though it is up to Prince Charles to prepare both Prince William and Prince George for the throne one day, it has been Carole who has been a constant presence in the Cambridge family’s lives. This has supposedly made things rather icy and awkward between the two in-laws so much so that Carole has supposedly gotten the hint and has been deliberately keeping a low profile because of it.

Speaking to Britain’s Express.co.uk about the matter, a source said of Carole, “She was devastated. All she has ever wanted is to be a good mother and grandmother, not upset anyone in the process. Perhaps their low profile is their way of keeping a respectful distance.”
With that said, many royal fans and observers have definitely noticed that Carole Middleton hasn’t been such a prominent figure in the Cambridges life as much as she was before. While there’s no doubt that she still spends as much time as possible with her grandchildren Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, she’s also trying to stay out of the royal spotlight at the same time.
Of course, Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the report, but seeing how everyone is sheltering-in-place because of the coronavirus outbreak, it might be a long time before Carole is seen again with her daughter Kate and her grandchildren or any of the other royal family members for that matter. Prince Charles, meanwhile, has been in coronavirus quarantine at his private estate at Balmoral Castle in Scotland with Camilla Parker Bowles.
