In her court deposition, Britney Spears, completely out of left field, brought Paris Hilton into her own drama by saying that she didn’t believe what she went through in the documentary she posted on youtube detailing her abuse at the troubled teen camp.
However, a lot of fans are saying that Britney was not actually trying to drag Paris, but she was just using a comparison as an example. She said when the documentary first came out she didn’t believe any of it and she thought that if she spoke up about what she was going through that people wouldn’t believe her and would actively make fun of her.
However…
Last year when Paris was in an interview with Andy Cohen she perpetuated the idea that Britney couldn’t advocate for herself, not that she directly said anything but Paris just dodged the issue and said, “Oh, she’s really sweet.
I saw her recently, we had lunch.” and then even went onto say that she didn’t even think Britney was aware of what she was going through. It’s clear to see that Paris was wrong, and that Britney knew very well what she was going through, but she was just bullied into not speaking up.
While most fans are saying that Britney didn’t mean any shade thrown by this, and maybe she didn’t, who knows?
The fact of the matter remains is that Paris Hilton, who has known the girl for over a decade, could clearly see what was going on and considering how she had been controlled by her own family over the years, fi Paris had wanted to she could have used her own platform, last year, to help Britney get the visibility that she needed. After all, evil only triumphs when good people stand by and do nothing, right?
Still, Paris took the comment in stride and even made a twitter post saying “11:11, #freebritney” which was nice of her, but if Britney had meant some shade by that, no one would be blaming her.
Giving Paris the benefit of the doubt for a moment, maybe Britney’s team bullied her too, and told her that if she said anything about what she actually saw then she would have to be in court as well, no one wants a lawsuit and from watching her documentary we all know how much Paris wants to be a billionaire. (However she recently came out as saying she is no longer interested in money, but wants babies instead. Hm, interesting.)
No one knows whether or not Britney truly meant anything by what she said, and there are a lot of survivors of the troubled teen school where Paris was that have come forward and corroborated her story, but if she did mean anything by it, if she is just a little resentful that Paris stood by and let her Dad continue his reign of abuse, then no one is blaming her.
