She’s certainly entitled to her opinion. There’s a new report that says Paris Hilton has ‘liked’ some tweets about her not taking Britney Spears’ comments personally when the pop star said that she didn’t believe her accusations of abuse at her boarding school in Provo, Utah. Here’s what you need to know.
“I hope Paris Hilton doesn’t take what Britney said personally,” read one post that Hilton, apparently liked on Twitter. “What she meant was that she understood how hard it was to be believed by people on the outside looking in. I’m sure she believes her now. #FreeBritney.”
Paris Hilton Is Not Taking Britney Spears’ Comments During Court Hearing Personal
Another Twitter user wrote, “I think Paris Hilton will understand what she mean’t [sic]. Keep in mind, they are friends and probably have discussed it.”
During her court hearing earlier this week, Spears referred to Hilton’s public allegations about Provo Canyon School in Utah, where she allegedly was abused by the “evil and sadistic” staff.
Spears said that when she first heard Hilton’s story, she didn’t believe it, and that’s why she has kept quiet about her own “abusive” conservatorship up until now.
“To be honest with you, the Paris Hilton story on what they did to her at that school, I didn’t believe any of it,” the Grammy winner said during her hearing. “I’m sorry. … I’m an outsider, and I’ll just be honest, I didn’t believe it, and maybe I’m wrong and that’s why I didn’t want to say any of [my story] to the public because I thought people would make fun of me or laugh at me and say, ‘She’s lying, she’s got everything, she’s Britney Spears.’
“I’m not lying. I just want my life back.”
And while Britney Spears is certainly entitled to her opinion, it seems like the rest of the Hilton family is not taking this personally, either. Both Hilton’s mother and sister, Kathy and Nicky, have shown their support for the ‘Free Britney’ movement.
