Harry walked onstage and went right into his rant about social media, how young people must be protected from the evils of Facebook, Instagram, and X, and

“the pervasive threat that our online world poses to us, especially our children.”

He talked about how he used to get into trouble as a kid, but kids today are being targeted. He said his phone’s lock screen features his children, Archie and Lilibet.

Harry shared pictures of the children who lost their lives due to the destructive effects of social media.

“These children and thousands more meant the world to their families. The beautiful faces you see before you, their smiles, their dreams, all lost, all too soon, and all because of social media,”

    He said.

“These platforms were designed to create addiction,”

    Harry continued.

“Young people are kept there by mindless, endless, numbing, scrolling, being force-fed content that no child should ever be exposed to.”

He stressed that while people may have different backgrounds and beliefs, everyone can universally agree that the health and safety of their children is paramount.

Harry explained that he and Meghan Markle created The Archewell Foundation created this initiative intending to help others cope.

The initiative is a global community that supports parents whose children have been victims of social media’s harsh climate.

Bullying is a huge factor in many children’s deaths, and social media provides an environment where bullies and mean-spiritedness can thrive.

Much content on social media platforms like TikTok presents dangerous challenges and games that kids gravitate toward.

“If we allow the status quo to remain in an age where lives are intertwined with technology, we cannot afford to only see the online world as a space for profitability, competition, and rapid growth.”

He pointed out that his generation didn’t grow up with a mobile phone and is still learning about the online world as he wants to help his children navigate it.

On Monday, Harry spoke onstage at an event for the Diana Award.

“I know my mother would be incredibly proud of you guys,”

    Harry beamed.

“Your activism is true to how my mother lived her life. The younger generation is what gives me hope. The courage you have gives me hope,”

    He said to the recipients.

The Diana Award recognizes young people who are making a positive impact on their community. The organization was created to honor Princess Diana, the mother of Prince Harry and Prince William.

Harry also spoke at an event for the Halo Trust, giving an emotional speech in tribute to his late mother.

“Carrying on her legacy is a responsibility I take incredibly seriously,”

    He said.
