There’s no turning back from this. There are new reports that say Armie Hammer is the main suspect in an alleged sexual assault investigation, following some serious rape accusations. The woman in the case alleges that Armie “mentally, emotionally and sexually” abused her. Here’s what you need to know.
According to reports, the Hollywood actor is “the main suspect in an alleged sexual assault investigation that was initiated Feb. 3 of this year,” a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson told the press.
The woman, and her attorney Gloria Allred, held a press conference this week during which she claimed the now-34-year-old actor raped her on April 24, 2017, in Los Angeles, California.
Armie Hammer Is Being Investigated For Violent Rape Accusations
“He repeatedly slapped my head against a wall bruising my face. He also committed other acts of violence against me to which I did not consent,” she alleged.
“He became increasingly more violent,” the woman, now 24, claimed. “I thought he was going to kill me. … He then left with no concern for my well-being.”
“[The woman’s] own correspondence with Mr. Hammer undermines and refutes her outrageous allegations. As recently as July 18, 2020, [the woman] sent graphic texts to Mr. Hammer telling him what she wanted him to do to her. Mr. Hammer responded making it clear that he did not want to maintain that type of relationship with her,” said Andrew Brettler of Lavely and Singer.
Meanwhile, it doesn’t appear as though Armie Hammer will be working in Hollywood for a very long time, if at all. He was dropped by his talent agency, WME. If that weren’t enough, his publicist has also walked away from the troublesome actor.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hammer losing his agency is the latest development of a career in freefall and comes amid controversy over graphic messages he allegedly sent several women over social media. Armie has been in the headlines for the last several months after his private DMs revealed his twisted and violent sexual fantasies that include cannibalism.
Armie has called the allegations “bulls–t” and his attorney said they were “patently untrue.”
