It looks like Armie Hammer can at least count on the support of Bill Maher during these very dark times that he’s living in. The talk show host defended the embattled and disgraced actor over allegations of emotional and physical abuse. Here’s what you need to know.
Armie has been in the headlines after his private DMs revealed his twisted and violent sexual fantasies that include cannibalism. Not only has he been dropped from his upcoming film projects, but both his talent agency and his publicist have also dropped him amid all of the allegations.

Yet, Bill Maher is willing to be the lone person in the entertainment industry who is daring to stand up for the actor. During his Real Time with Bill Maher talk show, he said, “I think we can talk about this in relation to where feminism is because, apparently, Armie Hammer has a predilection to tell his dates he wants to ‘eat’ them. And who wouldn’t want to be eaten by Armie Hammer? Come on.”
If that weren’t enough, Bill went on to suggest that Armie has “ethical human cannibal fetishism” and that maybe porn was to blame. “We’re in such a porn-centric society – people have been watching really hardcore porn for so long that ‘spank you’ doesn’t really cut it anymore,” he said.
Bill added, “But if there wasn’t any physical coercion, why isn’t this just filed under, ‘That seemed like a good idea at the time to let Armie Hammer eat me, but it really wasn’t.’ It seems like we don’t have any ownership anymore, of our own choices.”
Yet, when his panelist Charlotte Alter pointed out that one women accused him of carving his initials to her body, Bill said, “Did he tie her down and do that? I don’t think so.”
Armie has called the allegations “bulls–t” and his attorney said they were “patently untrue.”
“Any interactions with this person, or any partner of his, were completely consensual in that they were fully discussed, agreed upon, and mutually participatory,” his attorney, Andrew Brettler told the press.
Brettler continued: “The stories being perpetuated in the media are a misguided attempt to present a one-sided narrative with the goal of tarnishing Mr. Hammer’s reputation, and communications from the individuals involved prove that.”
