It may be all over for Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s nasty court battle (for now) but never fear, more Hollywood divorce disfunction is still being played out for the insatiable public.
This time it is the ongoing battle between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and their sprawling French vineyard that is piquing the public’s interest. And it doesn’t seem like there will be a resolution anytime soon.
Only last week, as Johnny Depp was joining Tik Tok in a victory celebration fit for a 14 year old, Brad Pitt was making the claim that his ex-wife was purposefully “inflicting harm” on him by selling her share of Château Miraval and their wine business.
Angelina Jolie Slams Brad Pitt’s Newest Court Filing
Court documents, filed on Friday by Pitt’s camp claims that Jolie made the sale in secret. Furthermore, it has been alleged that Jolie purposefully chose the company she sold her half to, in a deliberate attempt to damage the reputation of the winery. Pitt’s claims also insist he, without any help from his ex, grew the winery “into a multimillion-dollar global business and one of the world’s most highly regarded producers of rosé wine.”
This week, Jolie’s team has come out to bat, saying the Fight Club star’s claims are nothing more than a “false narrative”.
Speaking with People Magazine, a source close to the 47 year old actress said, “It’s unfortunate that after she properly and legally exited the business, Mr. Pitt is entangling her in multiple lawsuits.”
The source continued to say that Pitt’s claims are all lies and that “Ms. Jolie and the children have not been able to return to the property.” Due to this, Jolie “made the difficult decision to sell her stake in the business.”
“After making multiple offers to her ex-husband, and knowing the business will be inherited by their children, she found a business partner with experience in the alcohol industry.”
As we said, fear not those who enjoy watching the trials of the rich and famous, this particularly nasty battle will not be over anytime soon.
