Angelina Jolie has spoken out passionately against the dire consequences that the Russia-Ukraine war could have on children.

The actress’ words certainly rung true in light of recent events. A significant proportion of children have already suffered with reports indicating that they have either had to flee, or take cover in bomb shelters.
Not only that, but there is also the obvious question that some of them may have been killed in the conflict. And this is something that Angelina could not keep silent on. In a post to her fans on Instagram, Angelina shared a series of pictures of Ukrainian children that had been impacted by the war.
The post was captioned by the following comments: “Nearly 2 million people are displaced inside their country, many trapped by fighting, denied access to aid, and in direct physical danger.
“Without an end to the war children will pay the highest price — in trauma, lost childhoods and shattered lives.” Angelina has always been very close to such issues.
This has been part of her wider collaboration with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, which has seen her engage in humanitarian work in other countries too. Just recently, she arrived in Yemen in order to highlight the devastation that had been caused there by the recent war.
Not only that, as part of her previous comments, she highlighted the need to treat all human lives with the same value. And this is something that she tackled head on. She added: “The humanitarian consequences on civilian populations will be devastating.
“There are no winners in war, but countless lives will be torn apart.” Her comments were very well received on social media, especially by the number of Ukrainians that were following her work.
One person wrote: “Thank you from all Ukraine.” The star has shown that she is willing to use her platform in a positive way.
