The trial with Amber Heard and Johnny Depp may be over, but Heard continues to speak out and in her interview with NBC’s Savannah Guthrie, has completely gone back on her statements saying that she did not write the op-ed about ex-husband Johnny Depp.
Even though it was written in 2018 during the height of the #MeToo movement where high-profile men were being cancelled for their abhorrent actions, Heard is now claiming that the article WAS NOT written about Depp and that she DID NOT want him to be ‘cancelled’.

Interview Savannah Guthrie pushes back a bit on this statement, where Heard claims that she had teams of lawyers review the article before it was published and insists that the article was in fact, not about Johnny Depp. You can see in Guthrie’s face as Heard continues to speak that she’s not really buying any of this.
Some viewers commented their thoughts saying, “She doesn’t care what it takes to stay IN THE LIMELIGHT!!! She’s just scary….the level of denial is frightening!!!,”, “These are great, looking forward to each of your uploads throughout the day” and “Johnny Depp doesn’t even care about this anymore he’s just playing with his band and enjoying life. Amber will never get over it”.
It seems Heard is intent on dragging this out for as long as she can while keeping herself in the spotlight. It’s a truly bizarre thing. If these terrible things in fact, took place, why is she continuing to change her story and go on national news to lie more? The woman is an enigma and is a joke to real victims of domestic abuse.
