ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal things are about to get interesting at Wyndemere. With a new development on Monday, the game changed and Ava Jerome (Maura West) is ready to take advantage. Of course, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) thinks she’s in the wrong. We disagree, and here’s why.

ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: What went down

Nikolas got good news on Monday. Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel) decided to forgive and let Nikolas back into his life. He just had one condition—dump Ava. Spencer still doesn’t forgive her for not telling the whole story before and thinks she needs to be out of Wyndemere and their lives. Nikolas just has one problem.

ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Why Nikolas need to give up the Cassadine estate

‘General Hospital’ spoilers indicate there’s a post-nup. Ava didn’t hesitate to use that in her favor. She’s more than willing to let him divorce her and thrilled that Spencer will forgive his dad. However, she believes a deal is a deal. She wants Nikolas out of her house and off the island. He took offense to that and tried to spin this as her being wrong and unfair. We don’t think so.

    ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Why?

First off, she’s right. They both agreed to that deal, and Nikolas is no innocent waif. He was just as willing to leave Ava high and dry as she was willing to do to him. She has good reason. Nikolas Cassadine not only hid his living status, but he didn’t tell the truth when Ava first saw him. He let her check into a mental hospital, then psychological tortured her with her dead daughter to get his way. It is still the most disgusting move we’ve seen yet on this show, and he deserves some payback for it. Especially since he gave no thought to his family all these years. He’s almost acting like a spoiled child who feels everyone should thank him for the devastation he forced upon them. But there’s another reason we think Nikolas should just suck it up and do the right thing.

ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Better off

We think he’d be far better off without the Cassadine title, money, and estate. Look at everything he did just to get it? How low he sank, and how many lives he felt justified in ruining to get his way. The idea of the fortune obviously corrupted him, as Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) once alluded to. And look at Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart)? Ever since he lost the fortune, he’s made improvements as a human being, at least in one respect. He was willing to give up Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) because he saw the influence he was having. Now, he and Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) are working things out and appear to be approaching parenting as a team. We think Nikolas needs this as well. It’ll give him a chance to value what really matters and make amends for the harm he’s done. All holding on to this grudge and fortune got his so far was a miserable marriage and a family who hates him. Stay tuned to see how things turn out.
